Now Darren Shan's internationally successful vampire series is coming to the big screen in 2009. The much-anticipated film adaptation of the first three titles is coming to cinemas on October 23rd 2009.

Directed by Paul Weitz (About a Boy, American Pie), who co-wrote the screenplay with Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, A Knight's Tale). The cast includes John C. Reilly, Selma Hayek, Chris Kelly, Josh Hutcherson and Ken Watanabe.
